The acronym "ROM" stands for "Radau Optical Mechanical". Skip Radau, the company's founder, has over 25 years of experience and graduate degrees in both the optical and mechanical engineering fields.

Opto-mechanical engineering, a subset of these two disciplines, is the company's specialty.
